Captain Jason May is a certified and licensed U.S. Coast Guard Captain with over 25 years of boating experience. Retired from Gaston County Police Department Captain May served on the Marine Enforcement Unit the last 16 years of his career before retiring. Captain May is boater safety certified and CPR certified as well.

 

Captain May has been a fishing enthusiast his whole life. His roots came from going fishing with his dad in the waters of South Port NC with his father every chance he could. Over the years Captain May began king mackerel fishing which led to him developing a team that fished up to 7 tournaments a year. Being competitive in nature, this is what helped him grow into a dedicated professional in the sport he loves.

Capt. Jason May operates a 268 Sea Fox Commander powered by Yamaha twin 150 four stroke outboard engines. The boat can accommodate up to 6 passengers.

Captain May’s 268  Commander is equipped with the newest top of the line equipment including 15ft taco outriggers for trolling , dual Garmin’s which are used for chart plotting and sonar for finding fish and more. Windlass anchor and  offshore Minn Kota trolling motor for easy anchoring over reefs for live bottom fishing.

The boat is fully equipped with up to date USCG safety equipment, First Aid Kit, Epirb and satellite communication as well.  USCG life vests as well as standard life vests for adults and children to wear while boating.
